Level 5 Details New Original DS Title
08.29.07 - 1:13 PM

Fukuoka-based developing studio Level 5 announced two new titles at a press conference in Tokyo today. The first one is an original DS RPG titled Inazuma Eleven. The game is described as a "soccer-themed RPG". It puts the player in control of the head of a junior high school's soccer club. In this position, he has to select a group of players out of about 1,000 characters, and form a successful soccer team. During the story mode players will move around the town map to gather information, search for teammates, and trigger off various event scenes. As for the actual matches, Inazuma Eleven promises very action-oriented game play, utilizing the DS' stylus. It will also be possible to challenge a friend's team.

Inazuma Eleven has yet to receive an official release date.

The second game announced today was Layton Kyouju to Akuma no Hako. The second installment of Level 5's DS-based adventure trilogy will be available in Japan on November 29th for 4,800 yen ($41.61 US).
