Shining Content Update
07.02.07 - 3:34 PM

Sega has been busy expanding (or, some would say, ruining) their famous Shining mega-series. We recently brought you the word on Shining Force EXA, with Damian giving it a cautioned approval. Today, we hit the backlog of games we've passed up, along with soundtracks to some of the most obscure Shining titles out there.

Starting with the games, both being PlayStation 2 Action RPGs. First is Shining Tears, reviewed by our ever-ambitious Dennis Rubinshteyn. The other is Shining Force NEO, with the review coming from...um...me. Were these games any good? Find out what we think by reading the reviews.

Then, four soundtrack reviews. Two are from reader Connary, and the others are my handiwork. Here they are:

- Sound Story of Shining and the Darkness
- Shining Force EXA Music Collection
- Symphonic Suite "the Another Story of Shining Force" [sic]
- Shining Wisdom

It was interesting to discover that much of the music from EXA was lifted straight out of NEO and put right back onto the game. That means, for those interested in purchasing the new soundtrack, know that there's some repeat material there for you.

Be on the look-out for more Shining material, new and old, at RPGFan.
