Eight years after the release of Parasite Eve 2, Square Enix today showed off a trailer of a new Parasite Eve game at the Square Enix Party 2007. Little is known about this game, titled "The 3rd Birthday," except that it will appear on mobile phones from Japan's leading carrier NTT DoCoMo. The 30-second trailer depicted series protagonist Aya Brea wielding a gun. The game's story will apparently take place eight years after the events of Parasite Eve 2.

The new Parasite Eve installment has yet to receive a release date.
