Square Enix today announced the promotions of John Yamamoto and Daishirou Okada. Yamamoto, who has overseen Square Enix's operations in Europe since 2004, will retain his current position, while becoming president and chief executive officer of the company's North American division. The president and chief operating officer of Los Angeles, California-based Square Enix, Daishirou Okada will from now on serve as vice chairman. With today's management re-shuffle management at company headquarters in Tokyo apparently aims to further expand its position on this side of the Pacific.
