Falcom Soundtracks: Ys Origin
04.04.07 - 3:33 AM

It was only a few days ago that Falcom released Ys Origin's OST to the public. The latest game in the series, technically a prequel, features remade songs from previous games, as well as plenty of new songs. Yukihiro Jindo, the new face of Falcom music, has helped arrange the songs (and for all we know, he's composed them as well). Our boy Dennis takes a long, hard look (listen) and gives his opinion in the soundtrack review.

Falcom's last game release (before Ys Origin) was a port of a Chinese RPG. It is the sequel to a surprisingly successful game that did well in China and moved to Japan through Falcom's publishing. I'm talking about Gensosangokushi II here. Falcom released very limited prints of the OST and Super Arrange Version. I've reviewed both albums. Be sure to check these out: they too feature arrangements from Jindo-san.

I personally apologize for the continued delay of "RPG From Anime" Soundtracks Update Part Two. It is coming, but it will be later than expected. So, expect even more from it since it is taking longer!
