Gust Opens Official Mana-Khemia Website
02.23.07 - 5:13 PM

Gust has opened the official website for its PlayStation 2 title Mana-Khemia - Gakuen no Renkinjutsushitachi. In addition to protagonist Vain Aureolus, seven other characters have been revealed so far: the bright Philomel Hartung, the protagonist's famous senior Gunnar Damm, Vain's rival Loxis Rosenkranz, and the sword-wielding Anna Laemmle. Also revealed are the happy-go-lucky beastwoman Titil Mimi Nike Mele, a mysterious creature named Mupe Oktavia Wondratschek VIII, and Pamela Ibis, a spirit who has been living on campus since ancient times. (Pamela has also appeared in previous Atelier titles).

Mana-Khermia will feature night and day cycles. Backgrounds in dungeons and other locations will change depending on when the protagonist enters them. Similiar to Atlus' Persona 3, players will have to ensure that Vain keeps doing his homework. This homework consists of various tasks, such as taking down a certain monster. The game's battle system will feature an enhanced version of Atelier Iris: Grand Fantasm's burst mode.

Mana-Khemia - Gakuen no Renkinjutsushitachi will be available in Japan sometime this June. The standard version will go on sale for 6,800 yen ($56.13 USD), whereas the limited edition will cost 9,800 yen ($80.89 USD).
