Sega announced today that Obsidian Entertainment has been chosen to develop the recently announced RPG adaption of Alien. The Santa Ana, California-based studio's track record includes 2004's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, and the recently released Neverwinter Nights 2.

The Alien RPG will arrive on next-generation consoles in 2009 at the earliest.
