NIS Soundtracks: The Prep Course 08.27.06 - 1:58 PM In four days, Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories will be available in the US, thanks to NIS America. We have a review of the game on the way, as well as reviews for its many soundtracks. Before that, however, we have to play a bit of catch-up on our NIS soundtracks in our ever-challenging goal to keep a complete roster of soundtracks on the section. Today we have two reviews, written by me, as well as a non-NIS bonus (thrown in for its obscurity), from Damian Thomas. Damian's contribution is the OST to Hundred Swords. Generally regarded as an import title, Activision did bring the game to the US on PC. It was a forgettable title, but the music is probably more interesting than the game itself. I have reviews written up for two of NIS America's "bonus" soundtracks; in fact, I have their most recent as well as their oldest soundtracks in store. The older of the two is the Phantom Brave Bonus Sound Track. It's exactly a replica of the Japanese arranged soundtrack, which makes it quite a nice catch. The second, and most recent, is the bonus soundtrack for Blade Dancer ~Lineage of Light~. This is a very special treat because no Japanese soundtrack was ever released. This means that the only available music from the game, in print, is found right here. It's certainly a worthwhile treat for those who preordered the PSP title. On Tuesday (August 31), expect plenty of Disgaea reviews for the game and its music.
