Harvest Moon Goes Wii, Riviera Goes PSP

The newest release date update from Japan has confirmed that Marvelous Interactive is bringing its flagship series Bokujou Monogatari (Harvest Moon) to Nintendo's Wii. The series' first next generation iteration has yet to receive a release date, though. In the meantime, From Soft has apparently cancelled the development of a PlayStation 3 game, tentatively titled Dark RPG.

Sony Computer Entertainment's handheld platform PlayStation Portable will see the release of another popular RPG. Sting's Riviera: Yakusoku no Chi Riviera (Riviera: The Promised Land) has been confirmed to appear on PlayStation Portable sometime later this year. It remains to be seen whether the newest version of the WonderSwan Color title will be a port or a remake, though.

In further PlayStation Portable-related news, Bandai Namco will release a trial version of its action-RPG Bounty Hounds in Japan sometime this month.
