The Japanese Computer Entertainment Suppliers Assocation today released a first preliminary list of games to be exhibited at next month's Tokyo Game Show 2006. According to figures released today, exhibitors have so far revealed that 38 RPGs and 9 adventures will be shown off at the event. In terms of the platforms represented, the PC and cellphones clearly dominate so far, with 89 and 87 titles respectively. Among consoles and handhelds, PlayStation 2 is still the clear number one with 34 titles, followed by PlayStation Portable with nine games, DS and Xbox 360 with seven games each, PlayStation 3 with five, and GameCube and Xbox with one each.

Below you will find a list of games covered by RPGFan and confirmed to appear at Japan's biggest game show. Please note that this is a preliminary list. Square Enix, Konami, Sega Sammy, Capcom, Banpresto, Atlus, Sony Computer Entertainment, Nintendo, Microsoft and several other major companies have yet to announce their line-ups for this year's Tokyo Game Show. All dates listed are for the Japanese releases of these titles.
