Square Enix today announced that sales of its Ultimate Hits series of budget re-releases have reached 500,000 copies. Introduced in September 2005 to counter the sales of used games and to win over cost-conscious customers, the series so far has seen the re-release of ten titles. On the 20th, Square Enix will add 16 more classic PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games to the series.
