Interchannel to Merge with Halon
07.12.06 - 3:17 AM

The publisher of Black/Matrix, Interchannel has announced plans to merge its business with Halon, effective August 1st. Halon is a developer and distributor of computer applications. The new company, named Interchannel Halon, will be headed by current Interchannel president Takeuchi Shigeki. In addition to the synergy effects created by the fusion of the two companies' development and sales organizations, management also anticipates positive effects from the joint operation of electronic cash sites. Index Visual and Games, which the two companies had established as a joint venture together with Dex Entertainment in January, will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Interchannel Halon.

Apart from the Flight Plan-developed Black/Matrix series, Interchannel is also well known for bringing popular love adventures, such as Lamune, Clannad and Pia Carrot to PlayStation 2 and Dreamcast.
