Bandai Namco Games has announced Trusty Bell: Chopin no Yume (Chopin's Dream) for Xbox 360. Developed by Tri-crescendo (the studio which has already worked on Baten Kaitos), the game is currently 50% complete. Its soundtrack will be composed by Motoi Sakuraba, while Chopin's songs will be performed by renowned piano artist Stanislav Bunin. The game's narrator will be Leo Morimoto, who has recently acted as narrator in Sony's movie adaption of the popular horror series Siren.

In the night of October 17th 1849, the famous Polish pianist Chopin sees his final dream, as he lays in his apartment. His consciousness leaves this world and enters another strange world. In this dream world people go about their lives just like in the real world. One pointed difference however, is that in this other world the incurably ill can use magic. Hence Chopin who lays on his deathbed in the real world, also is capable of using magic. And while his body is suffering from illness in the dream world as well, Chopin realizes that everything in this world has been created by his own dreams. Apart from Chopin himself, two more characters have been announced. Allegretto is a 16-year old pickpocket living in a port town. Allegretto however steals not for his own wealth, but to support poor kids with food. Knowing full well that stealing is a bad thing, he has a strong sense of justice. Therefore he keeps supporting the kids. Allegretto's way of speaking is pretty rude. Sometimes he is giving a hand to Beat who is like a younger brother to him. The one person Allegretto wants to help most however is the game's heroine, Polka. Polka lives in a nearby town on top of a hill. She is making her living by selling medicine extracted from local plants. After the government decided to supply cheaper medicine, her customers have become far and few in between. Close to death, the young girl has developed strong magic powers, but is avoided by her fellow citizens who fear they will contract her illness if they get in touch with her. Having lost all confidence, she meets Chopin and afterwards decides to use the little energy left within her to help mankind.

Trusty Bell: Chopin no Yume has yet to receive an official release date. In addition to Trusty Bell, Bandai Namco Games has confirmed the development of two more next-generation RPGs, one for Nintendo's Wii and one for PlayStation 3.
