King's Field PSP Details Announced 05.15.06 - 4:48 PM From Software has finally taken the wraps off the PlayStation Portable iteration of King's Field. Titled King's Field Additional I, the first person dungeon crawler is currently 65% complete. This portable installment of the series will make use of the PlayStation Portable's high hardware specs and feature much cleaner 3D visuals than earlier installments. After being sent into the underground labyrinth, a unit of knights which includes the protagonist is quickly decimated by the maze's deadly traps. The protagonist himself remains in a comatose state for one year after the mission. Following King's Field Additional I, From Software will release King's Field Additional II. Re-using the first game's save data will allow players to transfer the character they have created in the first game to the sequel. Furthermore, the save data of the first game will unlock additional events and influence the story of the second game. Taken together, King's Field Additional I and II will explain all the remaining mysteries of King's Field II and III. King's Field Additional I for PlayStation Portable will be released in Japan on July 20th for 3,800 yen ($34.56 USD).
