New Atelier Iris: Grand Fantasm Details Revealed 05.15.06 - 4:46 PM Gust has revealed some new details about its upcoming PlayStation 2 title Iris no Atelier (Atelier Iris): Grand Fantasm in the newest issue of Famitsuu PS2. Already 95% complete, the game will go on sale in late June. Using skills or summoning mana will result in the player consuming a character's skill gauge. That way Iris will be able to summon powerful mana, such as Siren which deals damage depending on an enemy's maximum HP or Lapulus which casts haste on the entire party. Enemies will now appear as moving symbols on the field map. Indicating the strength of the respective foe, these symbols are colored blue, white, or red, with red symbolizing the most powerful foes. Approaching such a symbol will trigger off the encounter. Time will also play a major role in the game, as the time players can stay in the game's second world is limited. The article also reveals three new characters, Culmena Neige Mena, Clowley and. Pamela Ibis. Culmena is a sad looking girl wielding a big sword. She spends every day in front of a memorial near her home town. Clowley is a mysterious character who has a tendency to appear in front of other characters out of the blue. Nobody seems to know anything about him, though. Pamela is a ghost acting as a librarian. Iris no Atelier: Grand Fantasm will be available in Japan on June 29th for 6,800 yen ($61.84 USD).
