At a press conference in Tokyo today, Tecmo announced Monster Farm Online. The PC-based game will be developed by Tecmo, while administration responsibilities will be handled by GamePot. The game will offer all the elements (raising monsters, battles, etc.) that made the series' offline installments popular in Japan. GamePot won't charge a monthly service charge for playing Monster Farm Online, instead users will have to pay real-world cash for the items they purchase in the game.

Monster Farm Online is scheduled for a winter 2006 release in Japan.
