Atlus Launches New Website, Store, Announces Yggdra Union

Atlus USA has today launched their new website, still located at http://www.atlus.com, along with their new online store at the same location.

In other Atlus news, they've announced that the Sting-developed Yggdra Union will be hitting US shores this year. Slated for a fall 2006 release, Yggdra Union comes from the same minds that brought you RPGFan's Handheld Game of 2005, Riviera: The Promised Land.

"Riviera: The Promised Land was one of last year's best-selling handheld RPGs, and we expect Yggdra Union to build on that success," said Sammy Matsushima, Project Lead for Atlus U.S.A., Inc. "The developers at Sting amaze us with their ability to deliver character design and compelling gameplay that rival the quality of RPGs for home consoles, let alone other portable games."

Yggdra Union follows the story of Princess Yggdra, the last survivor of the royal family of Fantasinia. Fantasinia has been attacked by an army from the Empire of Bronkia, and only Yggdra escaped the castle alive. At a remote southern town, she meets an enigmatic thief named Milanor, and returns to save her kingdom.
