Tales of the Abyss Tops Japanese Sales Charts

The newest incarnation of Namco's popular RPG franchise Tales has debuted in Japan on December 15th and as expected immediately became the best-selling game in this week's edition of the sales charts. As of December 18th, Tales of the Abyss for PlayStation 2 has recorded sales of 404,667 copies.

Square Enix's GameBoy Advance remake Final Fantasy IV Advance debuted on spot 4, selling 96,848 copies. The Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS versions of Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon remained in the top ten, selling 84,669 and 80,484 copies, respectively this week. Last week's number one, Sony Computer Entertainment's Level 5-developed RPG Rogue Galaxy dropped to No.9, adding another 50,520 copies to its total. Other titles in the TOP 50 include the two versions of Capcom's Rockman EXE 6 for Game Boy Advance and Kadokawa Shoten's D.C.F.S. - DaCapo Four Seasons for PlayStation 2.
