12.20.05 - 4:12 PM

At a press conference in Tokyo AQ Interactive today announced three new next generation titles. One of the three games is an Action-RPG called Cry On for Xbox 360. Cry On is developed by the studio behind Drakengard (Drag-on Dragoon), Cavia, and produced by Final Fantasy mastermind Hironobu Sakgaguchi. Kimihiko Fujisaka, who already worked on the Drakengard games, will act as the game's character designer, while Nobuo Uematsu will compose the soundtrack. While few details about the game have been revealed so far, an illustration showing the game's young female protagonist Sari was shown at today's conference.

AQ Interactive is a new third party publisher which was founded in October by former Sega president Hayao Nakayama. Games published by AQ Interactive will be developed by Cavia, Artoon and Feelplus. In addition to Cry On, the company will also publish an original RPG for PlayStation Portable, a "major 3D game" for PlayStation 3, a PlayStation 2 game based on a comic license and geared towards a female audience, an adventure title for the DS and another comic-based title for Nintendo's Revolution.
