New Devil Summoner PSP Details Announced
12.06.05 - 3:34 PM

Atlus has updated the official website of its second PlayStation Portable RPG, Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner. Compared to the 1995 Saturn-based original, this new handheld version will allow players to choose between an easy and a hard difficulty mode at the beginning of the game. The development team has also added a demon encyclopedia (akuma zensho) allowing players to check out the stats of their demonic companions. This encyclopedia will also enable them to summon certain demons and add them to their party. Furthermore, three different screen modes will be at the user's disposal: One original mode and two different widescreen modes optimized for the PlayStation Portable's screen. Players now also can save everywhere without any limitations in this new version. Additionally, several new very powerful boss enemies have been added to the hidden bonus dungeon. Last but not least, Atlus has also made several adjustments and changes to make your play-through more enjoyable. Skill and item names will now be displayed in kanji, while interface, battle balance, VICE system, auto map function, item abilities and the 2D mode control all have been enhanced.

Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner for PlayStation Portable will be released in Japan on December 22nd for 4,800 yen ($39.81 USD).
