Today is an important today for RPG fans in the US. Two major PS2 RPGs were released today. I'm sure many of you preordered them.

However, there's one that may have slipped under your radar. Published by Bandai, developed by Falcom, The Legend of Heroes: A Tear of Vermillion was released on PSP today. That's the one I'm most excited about.

To celebrate, we have four reviews from that particular series. An arranged album from the first, an OST/arranged compilation ("Perfect Collection") from the second, a vocal theme song single from the sixth, and the Lantis-printed OST for the PSP releases. Be sure to take a look at these four reviews.

Also, almost randomly, I chose to review three older soundtracks that deserve some attention.

First is the Atlus-published RPG Eithéa. Released only in Japan, this game had a first-rate soundtrack; yet no one knows who composed it! The CD's insert lists no composer, nor does any website in English or Japanese. So, there's a research project for the rest of you. In the meantime, check out this review for the anonymously-composed soundtrack, brought to you thanks to someone's particular request on our message boards!

The other two reviews are soundtracks from my favorite point-and-click puzzle-solving adventure, Myst (and its sequel Riven). The series now has five parts, so if you are interested in reviewing the soundtracks for later titles in this series, be sure to submit them. In the meantime, enjoy these ambient classics.
