Spike TV Announces RPG of the Year Nominees
10.25.05 - 12:49 PM

Spike TV's Video Game Awards 2005, which hold the dubious honor of being the only widely-televised video games award show, has had its nominees for the upcoming presentation on December 10. Among the divisions is the grouping of Best Gaming Website, in which Spike TV somehow overlooked us. How insulting!

One RPG made the list for Game of the Year nominations - Blizzard's record breaking MMORPG World of Warcraft. Oddly enough, no RPGs managed a nod in any sound category, which is not odd considering the audience for the show. The nominees for RPG of the Year are as followed:

Jade Empire Microsoft Game Studios/BioWare
X-Men Legends II: Rise of the Apocalypse - Activision/Raven Software
Dungeon Siege II - Microsoft Game Studios/Gas Powered Games
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords - LucasArts/Oblivion Entertainment
World of Warcraft - Blizzard Entertainment

Keep watching RPGFan for more information on both the Spike TV Video Game Awards and RPGFan's own Games of 2005 feature.
