Today's five soundtrack reviews span the eras from Super Famicom to present day PS2. Let's work in no particular order whatsoever to discuss them.

First of all, our headline update is a review from Connary, our ever-faithful reader-reviewer and Suikoden freak. He has written a lengthy review for the Rhapsodia OST. If you're interested, be sure to read this review. If you're not interested, let's just say you should be.

Connary also gives us a review of the Dragon Quest V Symphonic Suite. Note that we have a review of this soundtrack already, but that review (which covered two different prints) is of a different recording and contains less tracks than this newest print that Connary reviewed. The prompting for this new recording was probably the PS2 remake of the game. Be sure to check out this review as well!

I myself have been on an Arc the Lad kick recently, so I went ahead and reviewed the original soundtracks for Arc the Lad II and Arc the Lad III. Composed primarily by Masahiro Andoh, these soundtracks are some of the best the PS1 days have to offer us.

Finally, I also picked up an obscure album recently for an import RPG released on Super Famicom and PC, Sword World. Despite its obscurity, it managed to capture some of the sounds that remind us of a younger, more innocent day. Yes, VGM has that power.
