Atelier Soundtrack Reviews (Again!)
09.28.05 - 7:54 PM

The reviews for recently-released soundtrack reviews are slowly but surely amassing. However, they're not quite ready, so to hold you over, we are pleased to bring you some more of your favorite series' music that we had covered thoroughly just this summer! The count is four Atelier soundtracks, one Genso Suikoden, and one Lunar.

Daniel Bowman brings us reviews for the Atelier Marie OST and the series vocal collection entitled "Volkslied." I myself, never one to turn down a chance to listen to music from Gust, reviewed Atelier Marie's arranged album (the very first Atelier soundtrack ever printed, mind you), and Sony Records' original two disc soundtrack for Atelier Elie. It doesn't get much more oldschool than this, people!

Well, actually, yes it does. After briefly mentioning in a previous soundtracks update that we had covered nearly every Lunar album to date, I was given a tip as to how I could obtain the obscure promotional CD for Lunar: Eternal Blue that came with the Japanese version of the original Mega CD game. This "Premium CD" is now reviewed with audio samples, so that you can learn about what you're very likely missing. This officially completes RPGFan Soundtracks' Lunar discography until a new album is released (and y'all can start hoping now for a DS soundtrack to be announced in the near future...some say it may not happen).

Finally, the ever-faithful Genso Suikoden fanatic Damian Thomas gives us a witty but to-the-point review of Celtic Collection III. Yes, that's right, a third one. I don't get it either. To find out whether or not this album has just become part of a monotonous series of sounds from Konami, please read Damian's review.

That covers this week. The next update, which may or may not come within the next seven days, will definitely include reviews for the most recent Ys soundtrack releases, as well as a few other aural treats. Don't miss it.
