SCE Announces Creation of World Wide Studio

Sony Computer Entertainment today announced the creation of Sony Computer Entertainment World Wide Studio. Created on September 1st, this new company will coordinate all of the company's development activities in Japan, North America and Europe. While the various development studios will retain their current level of independence, the world's largest first party company is aiming at a higher level of exchange and adhesion between the various entities in order to further accelerate the creation of global hit titles. Heading the new company will be executive vice president Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Phil Harrison.

The company also announced the retirement of Sony Computer Entertainment America's executive vice president Andrew House. House however will remain a Sony Group employee, as his new job will be chief marketing officer for Sony Computer Entertainment's parent company Sony.
