In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, which has mauled many mid-atlantic states, Sony Online Entertainment has added a /donate command to EverQuest II that allows players to donate money to the Red Cross. For those who are not EQ2 players, the donation link is here.

SOE will also be suspending billing for the accounts of the 13,000+ subscribers in the affected areas. Any items or structures that decay over time will also be preserved until this crisis is over.
