Idea Factory Announces New Adventure Adaption of Popular Manga
08.30.05 - 9:48 PM

Idea Factory has announced the newest addition to its expanding line-up of adventure games. Titled Game ni natta yo! Dokuro-chan: Kekoushindan Daisakusen, the PlayStation 2 title is based on the popular manga series Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan as featured in Mediaworks' Dengeki hp magazine. Coming from the future, the little angel Dokuro-chan runs into series protagonist Sakura Kusakabe. Dokuro-chan, who hates hospitals, however has a problem: Once every year Penomu-chan calls upon all angels to undergo a health check. Hence it is up to the protagonist to somehow convince Dokuro-chan to undergo this health check.

Gameplay-wise, Dokuro-chan will not only offer genre-typical features, but also several minigames. The heroines' affection towards the protagonist will be effected by his performance in these games.

In addition to Dokuro-chan and Penomu-chan, the game will feature the following heroines: the star of Sakura's class Shizuki Mizukami, Sabato-chan and Dokuro-chan's younger sister Zakuro-chan. Those who pre-order the game will be treated to an original calendar. Since quantities are limited, be sure to place your pre-order as soon as possible.

Game ni natta yo! Dokuro-chan: Kekoushindan Daisakusen will be released in Japan sometime in November. The standard version will be available for 6,800 yen ($61.49 US), while the limited edition will cost 8,800 yen ($79.58 US). Fans can choose between two limited edition packages: The first one will come with an artbook, while the second one will contain a special interview CD.
