Square Enix has announced that Daishiro Okada has been appointed to the position of COO in the North American branch of the popular RPG publisher. Okada was previously an executive at Square Enix in Japan. Youichi Wada, president of Square Enix, stated that this move was to expand Square Enix in North America. Ichiro Otobe, the previous COO and president, has been transferred to Tokyo for other responsibilities.

Square Enix's next game, the tri-Ace developed Radiata Stories is set to ship on September 6.
