At the Square Enix Party 2005 that began today at the Makuhari Messe Japan Convention Center in Chiba prefecture Square Enix revealed that its highly anticipated PlayStation 2 title Final Fantasy XII will only be released in Japan on March 16th 2006. Originally expected to be available in 2004, the twelfth main series installment of the company's flagship series has been hit by a series of major delays. With the March release in Japan, it is likely that Final Fantasy XII will be available in the US sometime in fall or winter 2006.
