Bandai Announces Gallery Fake for PSP
07.11.05 - 1:13 AM

Confirming online retailer listings, Bandai has announced a PlayStation Portable adventure adaption of the popular anime Gallery Fake. The game will stay true to the anime's main setting. Players will control protagonist Reiji Fujita. The former curator of the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art is now the owner of a gallery known as Gallery Fake. Deeply knowledgable when it comes to art and fluent in numerous languages, the native of Germany eventually becomes involved in a major incident in the art world of New York City. He lives in a cheap apartment. His assitant is Sara Halifa, the daughter of a wealthy family from a certain Middle Eastern country. Despite being a novice when it comes to art, she becomes Reiji's assitant following a certain incident. Sayoko Mitamura is a young, but highly gifted lady who is serving as the director of the Takada Museum of Art. While she acknowledges Reiji's skills, she also criticizes his shady deals.

The key to completing the game will be to gather information through conversations and negotiations. This valuable information can then be used as the next trump card. System-wise, players can select from several options that will determine in which direction a conversation is heading. As a conversation continues, they will have to look out for suspicious remarks dropped by their conversation partners. When confronting the other party with your information, the right timing will also be of importance.

Gallery Fake for PlayStation Portable will be available in Japan on September 27th for 4,800 yen ($42.76 US).
