Captain Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth Swan, two of the main characters of Disney's 2003 blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean have been confirmed to appear in Square Enix's action RPG sequel Kingdom Hearts II for PlayStation 2. In a screenshot Sparrow's virtual alter ego looks very much like the movie's character as portrayed by Johnny Depp. It remains to be seen what other characters will appear in the game's Pirates of the Caribbean-themed world however. Elizabeth Swan's character seems to play a central role in the game, though. She will hold the key to the game's story.

Kingdom Hearts II will be available in Japan sometime this year.
