Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children to Ship in September
05.09.05 - 8:17 PM

In the members only section of the official Shinra Electric Power Company website, character designer Tetsuya Nomura today revealed the release date of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. The CG movie sequel to Square Enix's best selling 1997 classic will be released in Japan on September 14th. The standard version will be available for 4,800 yen ($45.66 US). A limited edition is apparently planned for a simultaneous release, however its content and pricing have yet to be announced. It remains to be seen, whether the title's DVD or UMD version will be released simultaneously.

Nomura also promised there would be no more delays on the movie which was originally supposed to go on sale in Japan last year. With the rendering apparently complete, the development team's current focus seems to be the audio component. Final editing will begin in July and promotions and production are scheduled to commence in August.
