Nival Interactive, the developers behind Heroes of Might and Magic V have announced the development of Hammer and Sickle . The company is jointly developing this strategy RPG for the PC platform with Novik.

The game is set in the same universe as 2004's Silent Storm . Players will find themselves in occupied Germany in the year 1949, where, in the role of a Soviet undercover agent, they have to face up to an international intrigue. The open-mission structure and a non-linear story will let them decide whether to send the world on track to peace or straight into World War III. Gameplay-wise, they will have to pay attention to the way they dress and act in order to avoid drawing attention to themselves. However, if the need to resort to force should arise, one can rely on 90 authentic World War II and postwar weapons in order to deal with adversaries.

Hammer and Sickle has yet to receive an official release date.
