In the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu, Namco revealed its newest Tales title. Titled Tales of Legendia, is the mysterious PlayStation 2 title whose character designer the company initially planned to reveal on its official website on Friday. However, already today the article revealed that Kazuto Nakazawa is drawing the game's character designs. Nakazawa is best known for his involvement in El Hazard, Record of Lodoss War: Eiyuukishiden and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

Tales of Legendia's protagonist is a 17-year old boy named Senel Coolidge. The white-haired Senel has a strong sense of justice and is living together with his sister Sherley. In addition to Sherley, the protagonist will be joined by Will Reynard, Cloe Valenz, Norma Viatti and Moses Schandor. Senel's adventure begins on a floating Ruin Boat. With a length exceeding 100 kms, this huge boat features villages as well as ruins left behind by an ancient civilization.

Tales of Legendia will be available in Japan sometime this year.
