Sony Online Entertainment has announced a major content update for its PC-based MMORPG EverQuest II. This additional content is free of charge for the game's subscribers. The current update adds eight new areas, featuring minor bosses as well as new quests and non-playable characters. The development has also begun to strengthen the single player and small group aspect of the game, as new item rewards have been added. Furthermore, the probability rate of certain ultra-rare drops has been raised. Within the next few weeks, new dungeons will be made available to single players and those who journey in groups of two or three.
