Holiday Soundtracks Update
12.30.04 - 1:26 AM

Today is a day of celebration: RPGFan Soundtracks section gets bolstered with seven more high-quality reviews, featuring audio samples, release information, and high-quality front cover images...oh, not to mention the reviews themselves.

I promised you that the next update would feature music from some pretty obscure titles, and I'm not one to forget my promises. If you've never heard of the company Glodia before, maybe you should get cozy with these soundtrack reviews. I have written reviews for "All Sounds of Ragnarøkkr" (I dare you to try and pronounce it) and the soundtrack for Bible Master 2 (composed by music veteran Tenpei Sato). These are soundtracks to some fairly old, fairly obscure games that you'll probably never have the chance to play. Regardless, you should definitely take time out of your day to hear the music and read the reviews.

Reader-reviewers Son of Saturn and Jesse Jones bring us reviews for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles OST and Shadow Hearts II (a.k.a. Shadow Hearts: Covenant) OST, respectively. Both reviewers seemed to be quite taken by these soundtracks, but it seems that the praise didn't come without the complaints.

Noticing that we have been lacking on our Falcom updates, I decided to write up a lengthy review for Brandish Piano Collection, and reader-reviewer Connary brings us his thoughts on Perfect Collection Ys IV Vol. 2. Both of these albums were released in 1994, and both are today hard-to-find, highly valuable, and highly recommended.

Finally, I dug up an older review that somehow never got posted when I wrote it so many months (...years?...) ago: the Langrisser III Song Album.

That's it for today, but another large update is coming early in the new year, and don't be surprised if it's chock-full of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time soundtrack reviews, among other things. Remember, if you want to be a part of the mayhem, send a review our way! We're always willing to hear your thoughts on the good, the bad, the old, and the new.
