Square Enix has released the newest patch for its PlayStation 2 and PC-based MMORPG Final Fantasy XI. Released yesterday, the patch covers a wide array of issues ranging from additional quests, over battle and general system-related enhancements to altered droppings of items and monster attributes. The development has implemented a new improved chat filter, which now includes a NPC and a pet filter. The filter's accuracy has also improved, by assigning priorities to different types of playable and non-playable characters. Furthermore, an additional Gobbiebag quest has been implemented for those, who have already completed the previous five ones.
