Baten Kaitos Has Gone Gold

Namco Hometek has announced that its original GameCube RPG Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean has gone gold and will be available for $49.99 US at retail stores across the nation on November 16th. Those, who pre-order their copy of the game at Electronics Boutique or GameStop will be treated to a wallscroll feauturing illustrations of the main characters. Those who place their pre-orders through Toy R Us or its Amazon.com-embedded online shop will receive a soundtrack for free.

Released in Japan under its original title, Baten Kaitos: Owaranai Tsubasa to Ushinawareta Umi eleven months ago, the game only sold 80,000 copies. Namco had originally projected sales of 500,000 copies.
