Konami has released its financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2004/2005 in Japan today. Compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year, sales were down by 17.6% to 47.3 billion yen ($423.57 million US), while net profit was down 70.2% to 2.87 billion yen ($25.70 million US). For the full fiscal year however, Japan's leading third party publisher looks to continue growing, projecting a net profit of 15 billion yen ($134.32 million US) on sales of 275 billion yen ($2.46 billion US).
