Bandai has reported its financial results for the 12 months, which have ended on March 31st in Japan, today. The company posted sales of 263.17 billion yen (2.32 billion USD) or 7% higher than during the fiscal year 2002/2003. Net profit increased by 12.2% to 14.21 billion yen (125.04 million USD).

Following its worldwide release, the .hack series among others has proven to be a huge success. Due to investments related to upcoming titles, the yield increased but profits automatically declined. For the current fiscal year ending on March 31st 2005, Bandai projects a net profit of 14.8 billion yen (130.24 million USD) on sales of 280 billion yen (2.46 billion USD).
