New Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki Details Revealed
04.21.04 - 1:03 PM

In an interview with V-JUMP magazine, Intelligent Systems mentioned some new details regarding its upcoming new Fire Emblem title for GameCube, Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki. The game's subtitle will become obvious once fans have actually played through the game. The blue shield-like item right next to the game's logo will be extremely important and a key to the game's story. The Rags class will be divided in bird, beast and dragon-like races that possess the ability to transform their bodies. Furthermore, new weapons will be added and the magic system altered. The two parameters 'special attack' and 'weight' will be related to new functions. Systems used in previous installments, such as support conversations and battle arenas will undergo some fine tuning. Information on the Triangle Attack of the Pegasus Knights and new combination techniques is still secret. Other subjects like a possible Game Boy Advance link, replay value and online play remain secrets for the time being as well. Apparently however, the clear data of either of Souen no Kiseki's prequels (Fuuin no Ken and Rekka no Ken) will have a certain effect on the new title.

Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki will be available in Japan this winter.
