According to reports from Japan, the the second Tales game for PlayStation 2, the upcoming Tales of Rebirth will feature a level of background detail which is twice as high as Tales of Destiny 2's. The latter was the Tales series' acclaimed 2002 debut on PlayStation 2. The new game will furthermore adjust its zooming in on backgrounds to fit the movement of the characters.

Tales of Rebirth has yet to receive an official release date, but is expected to be available in Japan sometime this year.
