Turbine Entertainment is working on a new expansion to its 1999 smash hit Asheron's Call. With the new, still untitled expansion the PC title whose sequel has been available for a year and a half, will receive its first update since the 2001 expansion Dark Majesty. The new expansion pack however will not be published by Microsoft, but rather by Turbine itself. Among its main features will be new textures to improve the game's visuals and a new Elder Game system.

The new Asheron's Call expansion will be released sometime in early 2005.
