Princess Soft has announced plans to bring the novel adaption Metal Wolf to PlayStation 2 later this year. The cyber punk adventure title was originally released for Dreamcast in June 2002. Compared to the original release, the new version, which is titled Metal Wolf REV, will feature two additional characters, new opening and ending CG sequences, more than 50 new event CG sequences, one new scenario and a new ending theme, performed by Yozuka and Rino. In the distant future, human society on a ruined earth has accomplished a questionable evolution. The Public Planet Development Cooperation is now administrating the social system. The employees of this cooperation, who happen to be called salary men, are the only members of one privileged class in a world, where civilization has been monopolized. The game's protagonist is a lower-ranking salaryman working for a local branch of the cooperation, by the name of Minagi Houjou. One day he loses his memory and ends up meeting a mysterious girl named Larissa. After this chance encounter, Minagi finds himself in a lot of trouble, as a religious organization with enhanced capabilities enters the stage. The key to the riddle of their sealed past now lies in the hands of a wanted man called Metal Wolf. Metal Wolf REV for PlayStation 2 will be available in Japan sometime this summer.
