Aruze Reports Shadow Hearts II Save Data Bug
02.26.04 - 3:28 AM

Aruze has confirmed a save data bug in its Nautilus-developed PlayStation 2 title Shadow Hearts II and released information as to how players can avoid it. Upon inserting the game's second disc and trying to save for the first time, the game will freeze and the save file will be damaged. To avoid this problem, players only need to wait about one second before pressing OK on the memory card slot selection screen, as the bug is the result of a timing issue. Even in the case of a quickly inputted confirmation, nothing is lost if players return from the save file selection screen to the memory card slot selection screen before the save file is being processed. Those who are already confronted with a damaged file can send in their memory card to Aruze's user support department, where the corrupted file will be fixed.

Shadow Hearts II was released in Japan on February 19th and has sold more than 60,000 copies since then.
