Due to the dedicated effort of a number of Final Fantasy fans (and apparently solo piano fans), we have for you five different reviews from the Piano Collection series. They are:

As you may or may not have been aware, the Final Fantasy VII Piano Collection was only released a few months ago. When the game was originally released, there was no Piano Collection soundtrack released, which is contrary to the usual trend of Final Fantasy releases. Note also the upcoming release of the Final Fantasy X-2 Piano Collections, dated for the 31st of March (what happened to a Final Fantasy XI Piano Collection? Who knows if that will ever happen).

We also have two more reviews to round out this fine update: I wrote up my thoughts on the Star Ocean & Valkyrie Profile "The Best" double-disc release, and reader Steve Snyder breaks the year-long trend of "only Damian Thomas reviews Genso Suikoden soundtracks" by bringing us his take on the newest arranged CD, Genso Suikoden Asian Collection. So they've done Celtic, Asian, Piano...I'm holding out for the South American Collection, featuring arrangements in the style of traditional Incan and Mayan music...(it's a joke...).

A certain "maintenance" update worth telling you: reader "Maou" has done RPGFan quite the service in providing us with more accurate tracklist translation. For years, tracklist translation has been the bane of the existence of the American VGM fanatic. And, generally, it's always likely that a few translation errors will "slip through the cracks", leaving us with bad translations...sometimes REALLY bad translations.

Because of this, our friend Maou has already re-translated the tracklists for the Alundra OST and the Chrono Trigger OST; they have now been revised on the site. Maou informs me that he will continue to do his work with the site, for which we are all grateful.

I hope that another update in the soundtracks department will come to you, the reader, sooner than this last one had. To facilitate this process, consider reviewing any number of your favorite soundtracks and submitting it to RPGFan: the newer the better, but anything will do.
