Sonic Team has announced that the closed beta test for the Japanese PC version of its online RPG Phantasy Star Online Episode I and II will commence in late March. The new version will be based on the game's Xbox version, but optimized for the PC platform by supporting high resolution modes, keyboard and mouse. The closed-beta test will be limited to 5,000 users.
