Capcom has released its financial data for the first three quarters of the fiscal year ending on March 31st. In the first nine months, the company posted a net profit of 1.4 billion yen ($13.29 million US) on sales of 39.1 billion yen ($371.04 million US). While sales of Biohazard Outbreak (Resident Evil Outbreak) and Onimusha Buraiden for PlayStation 2 as well as Rockman EXE 4 Tournament Red Sun and Tournament Blue Moon for GameBoy Advance were solid, the sales performances of Viewtiful Joe and other high profile titles abroad were described as sluggish.

For the full fiscal year 2003/2004, Capcom sticked to earlier estimates, speaking of a net profit of 4.2 billion yen ($39.86 million US) on sales of 63 billion yen ($597.84 million US). This would mark Capcom's return into the black after posting a net loss of 19.6 billion yen at the end of the last fiscal year, which forced the company to abandon the development of 18 titles.
