Capcom has released some new information regarding its upcoming PlayStation 2 and GameCube RPG Mega Man X Command Mission. In the game, Capcom's mascot has to infiltrate Giga City Island, where the Liberion Army just staged a riot and is preparing more evil deeds. On his quest Mega Man X will be joined by Zero, Axl and four original characters (Cinnamon, Marino, Masimo and Spider), each of which has a set of unique abilities. For instance, Cinnamon possesses healing abilities, while Marino makes use of ninja tactics & Masimo attacks with an axe. Meanwhile, Spider carries... playing cards.

The number of active members in your party has been fixed at three. Using so-called "Force Metals" on weapons, abilities and attack moves will eventually upgrade them, thereby improving not only their performance, but also the respective character's capabilities. Battles in "cross order system" will be turn-based. Players can steal their foes' health in prepartion of a devasting final strike. Furthermore, certain moves require the input of correct button combinations to be executed at full force.
