Belgium-based Larian Studios has announced the sequel to its popular PC title Divine Divinity, titled Beyond Divinity. In the new Divinity game, the player will be soul-forged with a Death Knight. Unless he succeeds in ridding himself of this curse, he will be chained to the evil creature forever. The key to this unpleasant situation lies within the riftrunning, and hence your adventure begins. At the end of the prequel, the Divine One is carrying a baby in his arms. This baby is said to become the Damned One, an evil entity rivaling the Divine One in power. As the latter is not able to kill this nemesis in its infant state, he decides to raise it like his own child. The kid does not learn anything regarding its origins nor does the Divine one educate it on matters related to power. Over the years, the child becomes a very ambitious and sometimes rebellious student with a universal interest in almost everything.

Larian has also announced a sweepstakes which will award one lucky winner with a 400 euro ($495 US) chess set. The sweepstakes will run until February 13th. Fans interested in participating should check out the link provided below.
